Bridal Show Recap
I attended the 2009 Soiree Bridal Show Extraordinaire at the Hotel Julien in Dubuque, IA on April 26 as a vendor. I represented my business, Kustom By Kris, which offers an assortment of bridal gifts and invitations as well as custom design. My booth was filled with products printed by Zazzle that can be purchased through my website (thanks to the Zazzle Store Builder). Here are a couple pictures (sorry for the poor quality - I couldn’t get a good pic because of the low lighting and layout of the room).
There was only one other invitation vendor there, but their invitations are letterpress, so not really my “competition”. There was one other store with “bride” t-shirts, but theirs were more formal with crystals, whereas mine are fun and digitally printed.
I was so busy talking about my services that I didn’t sit down for two hours and when I did, it was only for a moment. Not only did people comment on how clean the printing is, but how cute the designs are, too. I heard several times that I was just what they needed and was asked about printing products other than what I had with me.
At the end of the day, it seemed to be a success! This was sort of a public “trial run” for me. I am planning on opening a b&m store in the near future and wanted to bounce my products/designs off of the general public. I have to admit that I am even more pumped about opening my store! Now if the owner of the location I want would just call me back!
